From the inside out

This is a great worship song by Joel Houston from the Hillsong team.

Great rendition of "Inside out' Steve. This is one of our favorites at PR. We should certainly be praising Him from the Inside out. If we allow Jesus into our hearts then we 'live in him' and 'he lives in us'.
So that will show on the outside. Our state of being and our relationship with the Father and His son is all important. A very reflective song.

Abigail,

Yes, this is one of my favourite worship songs. I love the line "should I stumble again I'm caught in your grace". Being "caught" in the arms of God, by His grace, is a great concept.

Next time I'm at PR I hope it's one that we sing during our worship!

Why promote Hillsong when they openly promote wrong doctrine the following is from there website.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

Anonymous,

Thanks for your question: Why promote Hillsong when they openly promote wrong doctrine?

I wasn't actually promoting Hillsong, or their doctrines, just this lovely worship song.

However, to be consistent, would you also criticise the Christadelphian Hymn Book for "promoting" the works of trinitarians, Catholic saints, Anglican clergymen, people who believed in immortal souls and a supernatural devil, and others with 'wrong doctrine"?

Not a bad point

And thank you for not promoting Hillsong we can do without this joing in with unbeilvers

I was spending some time today with a Christadelphian who quoted another brother on the subject of 'fellowship'.

He said there are two main attitudes to fellowship:

1. We can build bridges; or

2. We can build fences.

A bridge-builder will look for things in common, value the contributions others make, appreciate their strengths, and be thankful that we agree on so much.

A fence-builder will look for the things that divide, see faults in everything, attribute motives, assume the worse, and be thankful that he's not like the others.

I really enjoyed that worship song. The writer was able to articulate for me the blessedness we have in the everlasting love of God and being caught in His arms when we stumble and fall. It seems that we share something in common. I think it's very sad that all you could do was to criticise, rather than to simply stand in awe of the God we worship.

they worship a different GOD

"they worship a different GOD"

Assuming you use the Christadelphian Hymn Book, can you tell me if the trinitarians, Catholic saints, Anglican clergymen, people who believed in immortal souls and a supernatural devil, and others with "wrong doctrine" whose hymns appear in that Hymn Book also worshipped a different God? If so, does that stop you from singing the hymns written by them?

Please could you post the words of the song too. Sounds great!
Thanks!

I believe you will be able to view the lyric here without violating copyright law.

How sad to think that someone wouldn't appreciate a song just because that person belongs to another religion, and assumes that we accept 'their' beliefs. Many brothers and siters send their children to non-Christadelphian schools, where the children are exposed to many other beliefs. Does that mean they believe them?Do we think we’ve got it right? By no means, how can we stand before the Almighty and say – ‘we’ve got it right God, choose us?? No one should have the audacity to say that. But this is where religions have fallen into the trap – they believe they HAVE to get their 'doctrines' right to be right with God. They have totally missed the whole point of Grace. If we relied on having to get ‘beliefs’ ‘right’ then no-one will stand – for who can know the mind of the Almighty God?? It is by GRACE we are saved ‘My Grace is sufficient for you’(rarely heard that from other platforms – and if we did, then we didn’t understand it) Sadly, CDns have been ‘graceless’ in most of their writings and expositions. It has mostly been legalistic. We could only gain approval by following the rule book...usually man made rules! God's word was not enough.
How did people get on without the Bible? The printing press hasn't been around forever. Brethren such as 'annoymous' must look at life through a toilet roll as their view is so narrow that they think like the Pharisees who say ' thank goodness I'm not like that person over there who doesn't believe like I do'. Very sad. There are so many people on this earth who have a desire to serve the God of Heaven and earth, it is man who has decded that only if you believe such and such will God accept you - hmm, in my mind that make man greater than God!! Isa 66:2 I myself created the whole universe! I am pleased with those who are humble and repentant, who fear me and obey me'.
God declared to Abraham, your seed shall be as the stars of the heavens for multitude, as the sand on the sea shore'. if it was only Christadelphians then there would be very few stars and very little sand.
